Spice tour and our informer has put red curry powder on his lips (the local girls use it for lipstick) and then he wanted a pic with me.... |

The ginger plant which dies after 7 months and then the root is dug out...about 3 kgs of root from each plant and look at the price we pay for ginger root in NZ....

Tumeric ...same as the ginger family...comes from the root of the plant...dried and thus the yellow powder we end up with....
